Our Roots in Upstate New York
Lake Champlain RV Resort is guided by the vision of Dave and Blake DeWitt, a father-and-son team with a long and meaningful connection to Upstate New York. For generations, the DeWitts have been farmers, servicemen, and community leaders in the area, with family members contributing to the cause during the Revolutionary era, the Civil War, both World Wars, and beyond. That tradition of dedication and resilience is part of what shapes our resort today.
Dave DeWitt, a Vietnam veteran, and his son Blake, a farmer and entrepreneur, chose to carry their family’s legacy forward by preserving and enhancing this campground. Their goal has always been to maintain a welcoming and affordable retreat where families can enjoy the simple pleasures of camping: gathering around campfires, slowing down together, and finding community in the outdoors.
